Progress and Updates
|
Hello! This is my first every blog on my website. I as well as many other attended the Celebration of Learning but as one of the art academy hosts. I'd say it went really in terms of engagement from the guests. There were very positive reviews and comments from all divisions and it was overall a great success. I participated in the Celebration of Learning by displaying my greatest on work board as well as my acrylic painting. My strongest work would have to be my acrylic painting. I saw many positive remarks to my painting as well as compliments from other people. But a close second is my pot still life drawing. It also received compliments and close looks, but definitely not as much as my painting. Seeing those pieces I made shows me that I grew a lot throughout the semester. Learning different medias and techniques to further improve my art skills has definitely shown at the Celebration of Learning.
Blog 2: Independent Project
Hello! This is my second blog of this year! This log is about my independent project. I as well as the rest of my class have been working for the past seven weeks on a huge project which will later be featured in the art show in June. I chose to paint for my project, although you were aloud to do any media you wanted. We had to have a specific topic or theme to your work, for me, I chose Iconic photos. Each painting consisted of an iconic photo, whether it be a person or place. I am proud of my work because I stepped out of my comfort zone of drawing/painting people. But my strongest painting would have to be my painting of a landscape in Iceland. I used similar skills to my previous acrylic painting but used different methods of using my painted brushes like little strokes for shading, big strokes for the water and sky, and circular motions for the clouds. My next blog will be about the art show!
